Garvin County students earned recognition for hard work and high marks at colleges and universities across the country during the fall 2025 semester. Here are some of the accolades that have rolled into our newsroom:
Garvin County students on fall 2025 President’s List at SNHU
Jennifer Harrison, of Stratford; Darwin Deras Romero, of Elmore City; Max McCulloch and Rebecca Pavlik, of Pauls Valley; and Adrienne Gilliam and Anissa Wann, of Lindsay, were all recognized on the President’s List at Southern New Hampshire University for the fall 2025 semester. To earn the recognition, the full-time undergraduate students earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.7 or higher for the semester.
Johnny Dustin Jones named to SNHU Dean's List
Johnny Dustin Jones, of Elmore City, has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's Fall 2025 Dean's List. To earn the honor, Jones was among the university’s full-time undergraduate students with a grade-point average of at least 3.5 for 12-credit hours during the fall 2025 semester.
Beau Sparks named to Texas State University Dean's List
Beau Sparks, of Wynnewood, was named to Texas State University's Dean's List in recognition of academic excellence during the fall 2025 semester.
Majoring in Integrated Studies, Sparks is among only 18% of students named to the fall 2025 Dean's List. This prestigious honor recognizes students who have achieved a term GPA between 3.5 and 3.99 while enrolled in 12 or more GPA hours at Texas State University.
Morales named to Dean's Honor Roll at Wichita State University
Ruben Galvan Morales, of Pauls Valley, was among nearly 4,000 students named to the Fall 2025 Dean’s Honor Roll at Wichita State University. To be included on the dean's honor roll, a student must be enrolled full time, in at least 12 credit hours, and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Vandever earns spot on Northwestern honor roll
Dalton Vandever, of Pauls Valley, was recently named to the Fall 2025 President’s Honorable Mention Honor Roll as an undergraduate student at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. The honor is reserved for part-time undergraduate students enrolled in less than 12 credit hours, who maintain a 4.0 grade point average.
Cogburn named to University of Arkansas Chancellor's List
Riley Cogburn, of Pauls Valley, is among students recognized for earning a place on the University of Arkansas’ Fall 2025 Chancellor's List, the university's highest semester academic honor for undergraduates. Cogburn joins a select group of students who have achieved a 4.0 grade-point average for the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours of coursework required for graduation.
