Elmore City Touch A Truck, May 20
Kids of all ages are invited to come learn about different emergency and construction vehicles at Touch A Truck Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 301 W. Lindsey in Elmore City. Activities will also include cornhole, disc golf and a dunk tank. Burgers, hot dogs and other goodies will be for sale. All proceeds go to help build the new EMS station. Caregivers support group meets first and third Thursdays

Beekeeper association meets every 4th Saturday

‘Bank on your Health’ every second Monday
The Health Department’s Mobile Wellness Unit will be visiting First United Bank, 315 West Grant Avenue, Pauls Valley, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 12 for the monthly “Bank on your Health” event.
All ages are welcome. Heatlh screening services will be offered with no out-of-pocket cost
Pauls Valley citywide garage sale, June 2-4
The City of Pauls Valley will recognize the first weekend in June as the citywide garage sale weekend. The city’s regular $5 garage sale permit fee will be waived for all sales held that weekend.
Tent Revival set for May 22-26
Come to the Cross Ministries will begin a Tent Revival Monday, May 22, running through Friday, May 26, in the park across from the Maysville Senior Citizen Center. A meal, free for everyone, will be held in the Senior Citizens Building after the Friday night service. Everyone is welcome to attend the nightly services and stay for the meal on Friday evening. Coffee with CASA
Come join us for a cup of coffee and learn more about CASA! South Central CASA of Oklahoma is hosting a coffee with CASA event at Pauls Valley’s Compassion Church, 113 S. McClure Ave., Tuesday, May 23, from 8-9:30 a.m. A CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate, is a volunteer who advocates for abused and neglected children in court. A CASA staff member will be available at this event to answer any questions you may have and to share our passion for advocating on behalf of children in foster care.
Library offers yoga classes
Pauls Valley’s Nora Sparks Warren Library is offering two free yoga classes. Gentle yoga with Mylee is offered Mondays through May 22 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Classes meet in the library auditorium, 210 N. Willow St., in Pauls Valley.
Maysville Alumni Banquet, June 3
The Maysville Alumni Association is planning to hold another alumni banquet for the first time since 2019. The banquet is always held the first Saturday in June, and this year’s banquet will be on June 3, 2023, with visitation at 3 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. at Maysville Assembly of God, Highway 19, west of Maysville. Donations accepted at the door. Anyone who graduated from or attended Maysville public schools, as well as all current and former staff and teachers, are welcome. Please join us!
May Storytelling at Pikes Peak School Museum
May’s Storytelling at the Pikes Peak School Museum in Erin Springs is set for Sunday, May 21, at 2 p.m. Leta Kay Adkinson will share the story of her parents, Leonard and Willie Franklin. Many may remember the businesses of this family, Leonard’s APCO at 201 W. Cherokee and Hair Dressers’ Haven on the corner of Main and East Cherokee. Storytelling is hosted by the Lindsay Community Historical Society.
