The Nora Sparks Warren Library, 210 N. Willow, in Pauls Valley will be hosting a movie and popcorn Thursday afternoons at 2 p.m. through the month of June. For more information contact the library at 405-238-5188.

•Maysville Library to host Summer Reading Program Tuesdays in June

The Maysville Public Library, 506 Williams Street, will be hosting its 2022 Summer Reading Program each Tuesday in June at 3 p.m. There will be stories, crafts, snacks and fun!

•Murray Lindsay Mansion and the Pikes Peak School set summer tour hours

Beginning June 3 weekend museum tours at the Murray Lindsay Mansion and the Pikes Peak School located in Erin Springs will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weekend tours will be available through the month of August, except for the Memorial Day and Fourth of July weekends, when the museums will be closed. Summer Reading BINGO, coloring contest page, creative writing and scavenger hunt sheets are now available for pickup at the Nora Sparks Warren Library, 210 N. Willow, in Pauls Valley.

•Applications for 2023 REAP grants now open

Applications for Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP) grants through Southern Oklahoma Development Association are now being accepted online at http://reap.soda-ok.org. All items must be uploaded to SODA prior to 3 p.m. July 31, 2022, for applications to be considered complete. Small cities, towns, counties, community/senior centers, conservation districts and rural fire departments are invited apply. •Elmore City Community Wide Yard Sale, June 10-12

Elmore City will have a community wide yard sale June 10-12. Residents can call city hall at 580-788-2345 to have their name and address included on the list of sales.

•Elmore City Round-Up Club Rodeo Queen Contest, June 11

The Elmore City Round Up Club is seeking candidates for the Rodeo Queen Contest. Contest judging will be June 11. The rodeo is June 16-18. The candidate with the highest accumulated points for speech, horsemanship, ticket sales, and appearance, will be crowned queen on Saturday night of the rodeo. •Beaty Baptist Church Vacation Bible School, June 20

Beaty Baptist Church will be holding Vacation Bible School June 20 - 23, with the VBS program to follow the Thursday evening session. There will be classes for ages 3 thru sixth grade. The pastor is Glenn Alley. Beaty Baptist Church is located two miles west of I-35 on Airline Road.

•Extreme Animals program, Wacker Park, June 21

The Nora Sparks Warren Library in Pauls Valley is hosting Extreme Animals at the Wacker Park Pavilion June 21 at 2 p.m. The program is part of the library’s “Oceans of Possibility” summer reading program and admission is free.

•77th Annual Heritage Day Rodeo, Pauls Valley, June 24-25

The Pauls Valley Roundup Club will host the 77th Annual Heritage Day Rodeo at 8 p.m. nightly, June 24-25, at the Roundup Club Rodeo Arena. Advance tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Sharpe’s Department Store, 208 S. Chickasaw. For more information call 405-238-7425 or 405-238-2776.
