Art Walk set for Friday

The excitement is building for another Fifth Friday Art Walk to be held Friday, April 29, from 5:55 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Pauls Valley Cultural Center, 220 W. Paul Ave.

Featured artists and their work will include: wildlife drawings by Bryan Bramblett, acrylic paintings by Billy Patto, charcoal and pencil drawings by Andrew Javier, turquoise and precious stone jewelry by Leslie Cunningham, stained and fused glass by CJ Larson, acrylics and painted bowls by Tani Landers, photography by Diann Hayes and Amanda Upton, watercolors by Tom Smith, sculpture demonstration by Terry Southard, and acrylics and painting onsite, in front of the building, by Trep Hetherington.

The Art Walk will also showcase Pauls Valley High School art teacher Bailey Stufflebean and art students who won honors at the recent Pauls Valley High School Art Show. Those students include Zoe Graves, Callie Babcock, Maddie Russell, Ludymila Zuchetto, Kohlton Bailey, Arieth Mesa, Tyler Damley, Leah Nation, Zoely Stephens, Nevaeh Miles, Macey Gilmore, Edwin Ortiz, Karlie Jean Kaesler, Zimena Sanchez-Pena, Andrea Valle-Guerrero, Annie Duarte, Ingrid Meave, Macey Elliott, Lauren James, Joel Pineda and Tommy Ray.

Julie Tabler’s watercolor class will display works by students Ruth Hines, Ron Patton, Lesia Benito, Sindy Prather and Zinda Coffey.

Dancing Rabbit Creek Winery will have a wine tasting in the building, compliments of Arlen Williams, and the Taco El Unico food truck will be selling their delicious tacos out front.

Artist’s work will also be displayed at local businesses in the downtown area. Those sites and artists are: PV Chamber of Commerce with Rhonda Nolen’s 1970s look at Pauls Valley hometown on wood; The Vault will have 25 Artists, with Irmgard Geul hosting and “Your Framer” Jerry and Zinda Coffey; the Pauls Valley Tag Office will host Nichole Yeiser; Revae Brewer next to the Royal Theater will have Revae’s jewelry and Mike Brewer’s photography and Johnny Pierce with his thumbprint cookies for sale; the Depot will host Julie Tabler’s watercolors; Perfectly Reset will have numerous artists with booths of their art; Rockabilly Goat Soap will have Gayla Hollis’s art, as well as Lauren Scott with macrame art; Valley Blossom will host artist Chance Brown; White Feather will have Ruth Anne Reed Colley’s acrylics; the Daisy Patch will have Penny Park’s acrylic art. Valley Trophy and Gift Shop and Bloomin’ Crazy will also be open during the Art Walk for business with lots of goodies to purchase.

Musicians will be stationed around downtown on various street corners. Those will include Robert Crull and his band; Jessica Beene’s daughter; Malory Faith Hinton, a guitarist who plays at Ole Red in Tishomingo; and Micah Ayache playing old country music.
