The Southern Gospel quartet Master’s Voice will lead worship and the morning message at Pauls Valley Trinity Baptist Church Sunday, 10:55 a.m.
The group was founded in Oklahoma by tenor Ricky Capps in 1995 with the purpose of “bringing an evangelistic approach to singing and preaching the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Current members include Capps, lead singer T.J. Evans, baritone Lathan Moore and bass Jerry Pilgrim.
Former members are Milissa Terhune, Mark Ledbetter, Drew Curtis, Jonathan Drew, Justin Morphis, John Tidwell, Joey Johnson, Stan Watson, David Folenius, Mikal Smith, Rick Knight, David Herring, Ben Hart and Theron Perry.
The quartet has recorded 14 albums.
The group’s most recent album, “Solace,” was released January 2020 and focuses on bringing hope to the weary through the peace of the Gospel, with songs including “Let Us Not Grow Weary,” “Last of the Last Days,” “Five Minutes,” “Things Only God Can Do” and “Peace Like a River.”
Trinity Baptist Church Pastor Dwayne Johnson encouraged the community to participate in the event and bring a friend.
“It’s going to be a good day of Southern Gospel music and a Gospel message,” he said.
Pauls Valley Trinity Baptist Church is located at 108 Loftin Lane.
Services include Sunday School 9:45 a.m., Sunday morning worship 10:55 a.m., Sunday night discipleship classes for all ages 5 p.m., Sunday evening service 6 p.m, Wednesday night meal 6 p.m., and Wednesday night activities for adults, youth and children 6:30 p.m.
