•Maysville Public Library’s Santa’s Gift Shop, Dec. 9 & 10

The Maysville Public Library will be holding Santa’s Gift Shop from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. December 9 & 10. Ornaments, pillows, jewelry, handmade items, toys, and much more will be available with some items starting at $1. Everyone is welcome to come by.

•Elmore City’s Christmas Parade of Lights, Dec. 11

The Elmore City Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2nd annual Christmas Parade of Lights in Elmore City. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a chili cook-off.

•Stratford’s Christmas on Main Street, Dec. 12

Santa Claus will be in Stratford from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, as part “Stratford’s Christmas on Main Street.” The event is a community project hosted by the Stratford Fire Department.

•Marijuana Town Hall Meeting with Rep. Cindy Roe, Dec. 16

Join Representative Cindy Roe to discuss marijuana issues in Oklahoma. Speakers will include representatives from OBN, OMMA, and law enforcement. Meeting will begin at 6:30 and will include presentations and time for questions.

•Christmas Candlelight Service, Dec. 19

Light of the World Church in Pauls Valley will hold a special Christmas candlelight service at 6 p.m. on Dec. 19. Everyone is welcome to attend.

•Compassion Church Pauls Valley presents ‘The Christmas Express,’ Dec. 19

This Christmas play follows a young girl’s journey to discover what is missing in the modern story of Christmas. Her adventure weaves through popular Christmas movies including “Christmas Vacation,” “The Grinch” and “A Christmas Carol,” before the heroine ultimately discovers the real story of Christmas from the Bible. Performances will at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Compassion Church Pauls Valley is located at 113 W. McClure Ave.

•Paoli’s Deck the House Christmas Light Contest, Dec. 19

The Paoli Police Department is hosting its 2021 Deck the House Christmas Light contest for Paoli residents. Decorations/lights must be up no later than Sunday, Dec. 19. For more information and rules contact Paoli Town Hall at 405-484-7844 or message the Paoli Police Department on Facebook.

•Pauls Valley Library accepting passport applications

The Nora Sparks Warren Library, 210 N. Willow St., Pauls Valley now accepts passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Dept. of State. U.S. citizens planning on traveling internationally may apply for their passport at the library by appointment only. Please call 405-238-5188 to reserve a time.

•Christmas in Maysville Food Basket applications now available

Christmas in Maysville food basket applications for Maysville residents in need may be picked up at the Maysville Library, Jack’s Pharmacy, or the Garvin County New Star office.
