Oklahoma Democrats welcomed Joy Hofmeister to the party on Thursday. Rather than regarding with skepticism the lifelong Republican’s defection, made to challenge Gov. Kevin Stitt in the next election, many ranking Democrats – even rivals for the position – expressed their support with statements and on social media.
