Leadership Mid-America graduates 25th class

Earlier this month, Leadership Mid-America celebrated its twenty-fifth class of community leaders. In addition to student sponsors, key program contributors and families of the graduates, attendees included State Representatives Cynthia Roe and Sherrie Conley, MATC School Superintendent Michael Eubank and MATC Deputy School Superintendent Denny Prince. Retired Assistant Attorney General George Burnett provided the keynote address.

The graduates were selected through a competitive application process and completed a leadership curriculum drawn from Brene Brown’s “Dare to Lead.” The class also visited area businesses each month, becoming more acquainted with the unique industries and organizations in their communities.

This year’s graduates were Kat Killough, Simmons Bank, Wynnewood; Derrick Williams, TKI, Wynnewood; Kevin O’Donell, Mid-America Technology Center, Wayne; Bailey Raines, McClain Bank, Norman; Becky Roberts, Pioneer Library System, Purcell; Paula Stevens, Chickasaw Nation, Paoli; Greg Wheat, Christian Life Church and Wheat Enterprises, Lexington; Marci White, Redbud Telecom Consulting, Newcastle; Laura Carnegie, Carnagie Art and Company, Elmore City; and Stephanie Whitaker, Farmer’s Insurance, Purcell.
