Attending county and municipal government or board of education meetings is a great way to get involved in your community or school district. It allows you to be informed about the issues facing your community or district, decision-making and new or planned projects.
In Oklahoma, meetings of public bodies are open to the public. Agendas listing the items to be considered are required to be made public at least 24 hours prior to regularly scheduled meetings. They can often be found online at your town or school district’s website, or they can be viewed at the public body’s office or meeting place (usually a town or city hall or superintendent’s office).
Here's the list of regular meetings coming up next week in Garvin County:

- Stratford Board of Education, 7 p.m., Stratford Administration Building, 341 North Elm St.
